Miguel Lee-Leon | Lee-Leon Studio
Throughout the late 1970’s Miguel studied with selected art professors, more interested in their theory than their technique. He was inspired by traditional artists like Norman Rockwell and Rembrant to contemporary David Hockney and Peter Max.
His early style had a photo realistic, sharp, crisp quality. His blending and shading were handled with the finest detail. Later after years of artistic wall finishes, murals and venetian plaster, Miguel has returned to canvas paintings. Now the work is abstract, shapes with depth and balance. The medium is venetian plaster with a strong acrylic base, applied with multitude layers using trowels.
